What's the difference in a test and a quiz?
Well, for one thing, it's much shorter! Plus it is covering just the basic skills that we have covered in this unit, less application. And it's tomorrow! I figured a "quiz" also feels better than "test" considering the exam a week from tomorrow.
Here are the skills they should be able to demonstrate tomorrow:
• Identify, define, and write using correct notation: ray, angle, line, line segment, parallel lines, perpendicular lines
• Identify acute, obtuse, right and straight angles
• Estimate and measure an angle using a protractor
• Find the perimeter of squares, rectangles, and triangles
• BONUS – Find the perimeter of many-sided shapes
• Find the area of squares and rectangles
• Identify scalene, isosceles and equilateral triangles
After tomorrow, we're on to review! More on that later...
